Campus

The Stanmore campus is located in South Lanarkshire, Scotland. We are fortunate to be situated just outside the historic town of Lanark, meaning we benefit from a school in the countryside with beautiful, green surroundings, animals nearby, and a quiet place to learn and explore but close enough to a major town that we can enjoy community life too.

We are proud to provide integrated learning through partnerships with our preschool and post-school centres, allowing our learners to enjoy working and socialising with young people of all ages. It is our experience that being surrounded by one’s peers is not only empowering for our learners but also for their families and friends, removing some of the barriers young disabled people face whilst creating a community that celebrates success and promotes independence.

Our staff team includes teachers who specialise in educating children with complex and additional needs as well as a range of on-site allied health professionals. Education and therapy are supported by our expert social care practitioners who also ensure all personal care is dealt with.

Every member of these respective teams is employed directly by Capability Scotland which means the learners of Stanmore House School are their first and only priority – so parents and carers can rest assured their children are in the very best hands.
